Chuck Schumer, on CNN's State of the Union Sunday morning, told host Candy Crowley that he is "very disappointed" with how Hong Kong handled Snowden, and believed that "the hand of Beijing was involved here." He had harsher words for Russia, saying there'd be "serious consequences" for the U.S.-Russia relationship, and that "allies are supposed to treat each other in decent ways." The senator also made the assumption that Vladimir Putin approved Snowden's plane landing in Russia, and called the president "infuriating." Sen. Rand Paul, also on State of the Union , had kinder words for Snowden: "I think it's still going to be an open question how this young man's judged." The Kentucky senator and 2016-maybe said that history would look back at the records of both Snowden and National Intelligence Director James Clapper, saying that "Mr. Clapper lied to Congress, in defiance of the law, in the name of security," and that "Mr. Snowden told the truth in the name of privacy." > Diddums Chuckie is grumpy with everyone who he thinks should simply toady to him. Poor diddums disappointed with Hong Kong. Meanwhile, perhaps Chuckie could find out what Hong Kong wants to know about the hacking of Hong Kong computers contrary to Hong Kong law, such crimes apparently emanating from Chuckie's gang. Ohhhhh.... serious consequences for the US-Russia relationship. That's good that Putin is infuriating Chuckie. Chuckie seems a bit like the Islamic Jihadists = always at full scale deflection in anger so why worry about him getting a bit more steamed up? It's even fun to taunt him. If Chuckie doesn't want a relationship with Russia, good for him. But Obama is apparently wanting a relationship, as was hilarious Hillary. It seems that Rand Paul should be POTUS as he seems to have sensible judgment, unlike the foaming at the mouth brigade. Rand is concerned about Mr Clapper giving a load of clap-trap to Congress rather than Edward giving a load of truth to They the People. Rightly so. After Congress has prosecuted Clapper and impeached Obama for actual crimes they might consider parking ticket style offences. Edward did not breach an illegal secrecy agreement because illegal agreements are null and void. Edward cannot agree to keep secret crimes such as breaches of the USA constitution which he was presumably obliged to uphold as part of his government work, much as Obama was obliged to promise to protect the constitution but impeachably did not and what's more actively acted to directly harm the interests, namely They the People, for whom the constitution was written. The constitution was not written to protect the government. It was written to protect the people and circumscribe what the government can do. A constitutional legal expert like Obama should understand that, but apparently not. If Edward maintained secrecy while aware of and being employed by an illegal conspiracy against the constitution, he would be guilty of conspiring in the conspiracy. One cannot agree to or be obliged to participate in crimes simply by signing a secrecy agreement for employment. Coast Guard father Snowden should feel embarrassed about the lack of backing he has given his son. To say he'd prefer his son in gaol in "free" USA rather than free in "unfree" Hong Kong shows a remarkably weird perspective on life in general and freedom in particular, not to mention a lack of understanding of political processes.
