Channel check - CompUsa, Sacramento

Pretty funny. Found 4 Sparq discs on the shelf, and no Sparqs. Asked the counter guy and he said that they've sold out of Sparqs. Asked him how many they sold. He thinks it was 2-3. But, he was surprised that they had discs, as the people that bought the drives were looking for them.

Funny how they would buy the drives without any extra discs.

BTW, now there are 2 discs on the shelf. Actually, there are 4. But no one will find the other 2 for days.

They had 6 Zip Plus drives on the shelf. Again, for 2 months straight now, have not seen an internal Zip drive. It's gotta be hurting Iomega some that the product isn't on the shelf.

There was a stack of the LS-120s.

And, the 10 pack of Zips was on sale for $99 after rebate. Although, no end display this time (CompUsa had lots of product demos going on so I assume space was tight)

They're still selling the Zips for $149. They are just clueless as to competition, or at least their customers are.
