Mang, if you don't have enough time and resource for fundamental analysis, then you certainly lack them for short term trading. Trading is more demanding on your time and resource. Unless you have some edge over others, trading wouldn't make you rich. Things that give you an edge include knowing people who are close to the company, they might be able to tell you something. When you trade, the guy playing against you is the market maker. He works for, say Morgan Stanley. He has faster access to his firm's analyst up/down grades, he has access to level I/II/III screens which give him a lot demand/supply information, and he can earn spreads, mark ups/downs which you cannot earn. Chances are you will be on the short end. If you decide to trade anyway, do that on a small scale, untill you have done a statistical significant large number of trades to determine your skills. By then you know if you should proceed.

>>I wanted to start a Short Term Trading of COMS thread to short term trade coms to get my money back.

It's a very dangerous thought and practice. People often lose more by trying to make up for what they have lost.

Don't let your emotion and ego get in the way of investing.

3Com (NASDAQ:COMS) named in shareholder lawsuit

Reuters, Wednesday, December 03, 1997 at 18:50

NEW YORK, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Computer networking firm 3Com
has been named in a shareholder lawsuit, which claims the
company misled the public about the market for its modems, a
law firm said on Wednesday.
The law firm of Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP
said the suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the
Northern District of Illinois on behalf of purchasers of 3Com
stock between May 19, 1997 and November 6, 1997.
The complaint also alleges that top executives at 3Com sold
shares of stock with prior knowledge that the company's public
statements about modem sales were false and misleading, the law
firm said.
3Com was not immediately available for comment.
