Robot trading. Its common practice by the market makers to trade in 100 share blocks and show some trading. Sometimes its just intratrading.

I doubt that the 100-shares-every-ten-minutes silliness had anything to do with the ECC poster presentation PR. I won't use his exact words but one friend of mine (a non-poster, BTW) suggested whoever was doing it was abusing himself. Or maybe it was a newcomer to the arena with nothing better to do.
