This is cultural evolution of ideas, commonality of religious motif is a given which rises out of man's own psyche , our own structured collective agreed upon thinking , reasoning (and instinctual) brains always being "the source". Of course Zoroastrians are gone extinct along with that older empire but the vestigial traces remain. All very clear it was evolutionary, we can see common descent in religion just as we see it in Nature following ascending structured paths, no supernatural needed .
