Until you go to buy that GOLD presidential then prices are not discounted until you go to SELL that GOLD presidential and then you see how the price of gold has an effect.

Not really. Cost inflation put pressure on miners for years... all the while POG was increasing.

Some problems are solved by higher AU as long as that rise is greater than overall cost side inflation.

ABX is at '08 lows and the POG is still over 1200. That's anticipation.
