No. I agree the taboos on pork seem unnecessary and whatever you want to put in your mouth, or not, is no concern of mine. I admit I get a little wrangled by what comes out of people's mouths sometimes, but not about their food choices. Use the word diet in any gathering and watch the fireworks, and watch me move to another room.

I argued your side with a PhD in Vet science who convinced me we do not destroy all the encapsulated parasites when cooking the meat. Whatever, I don't see it as a sin. My parents depended on it during the 1930's depression. I don't see why it needs to be an issue at all. If people want to cut it from their diet, it shouldn't be a problem for others and vice versa.

I also don't think having a couple of beers would ruin me, in fact it might improve my disposition but I went clean and sober in 92, so I don't want to mess up the run. Drinking and drugging isn't necessary either but I've known lots of people who are nicer when they are loaded. I prefer clear thinking for my self.
