Depends, I guess. I have funds in a number of institutions. If they bail-in all at the same time, it's a wealth tax. Anything's possible with the kleptocracy, but that won't be this weekend.

Regardless of retirement plans (I don't know of any which can purchase bullion except an IRA), I do believe the bull in gold will end as it usually does, with it on the radar of just about everybody. I remember the news coverage and the talk in 1980. Even though I was just a student, I still had friends who bought silver 100 ounce bars and talked about it.

If PMs don't reach that level of enthusiasm (same as Naz bubble) then it will have turned out to be a very disappointing bull market. Which for all I know may have ended a couple years ago anyway...
