T: the only way the market can go higher is with participation of the smallcaps, so if it goes any higher the action has to be there.

TClaude. I have been wrong quite often before, but I am communicating by e-mail with quite a number of people, and those that are 100% long somehow are not feeling the strength of this rally. Few people in SI are in the financials, airlines, food major drug companies and the darlings. Many are in the AMAT, the CYMI, the VECO (and the others I recommended to Kelly to buy puts on rather than YHOO and CSCO), and they are not feeling the euphoria at all. I think that the bull is over if if the DOW makes a short rally toward yearned above the high (or for that mater next week). But as a bear you should be shorting the alreadu broken stocks, not try and catch the new highs list. The new highs are the stocks that are going to be used as a vehicle for deploying any additional funds (soak the liquidity), and once these new funds are gone, we might see flow from the weak to the strong (we are already seeing this quite a lot), only latter in the game are the strong stock taken down to size when finally money leaves the market altogether abd gets into the matresses.
