Would a reasonable person wish he could kill the guy who is whipping his ass in a fight? Or would a reasonable person just wish he could defend himself physically?
Would every person getting whipped in a fight kill his opponent. In you case, who attacked whom? Not who was winning?

Justice is often measured by the "reasonable person" premise.

What would a reasonable person do if someone was on top of him beating him and smashing his head into the ground? A reasonable person would wish he were armed well enough to defend himself against such an attacker, and if he were armed he would use available arms to defend himself.

That is all that has happened.

I see.......in a fight, if the reasonable person thinks that he may lose the fight, he has every right to pull a gun and shoot his opponent.

Welcome to the wild, wild west.
