And you don't know if he did or didn't at that point. Further, just because the po po says that they don't need him to do it, doesn't mean that he couldn't continue or that he was breaking the law if he did. They said "we don't need you to do that". To which GZ said "OK".

And they didn't even give him an order. "We don't need you to do that" isn't the same as "don't do that".

That is a totally irrelevant point. Has nothing to do with the trial.

It is abundantly clear at this point that Zimmerman was attacked by this kid. Hell, all of the credible testimony has been consistent with that. If they put on this bogus DNA evidence that will be the end of it. No one is going to buy that nonsense.
