My first paid job was back in the 70's at a now defunct retail chain in the SF valley.. I met a group of guys that remain my friends to this day. We worked various shifts and moved from store to store assisting in openings and holiday promotions until we experienced the retail unions up close and personal .. We all gained from the experience. Only a few still remain in Ca but we get together and play poker at least once every few months. The worst of any if us would easily separate koan from his gambling money in short order.
