"Cracker", when used by young blacks, is an exclusively pejorative racist term. Period, end of story. When referring to saltines, it is a different thing. If you're going to ban the use of one word you should ban the use of the other.

To try suggest otherwise is absurd.

I hate double standards and hypocrisy and you nutjobs are the kings.

If you had ever spent any time in Florida, you'd know it is not an epithet. Assuming you are using the word 'epithet' in its demeaning form. It is on the level of calling someone of French descent in Louisiana a cajun or a coon ass.

It is more than a little ridiculous to make the claim that 'cracker' is in any way on the same level as the word 'n****r'. It might have been at one time, and it might be in the future, but that time is not now.

That's pretty funny. If I say that the word "n*****r" isn't an epithet in Bozeman Montana, therefore it isn't really an epithet, everyone would say that was ridiculous. Cracker is very much a racial epithet in every other locale except for where you live. The only reason that Trayvon's girlfriend didn't think it was a racial slur is because she's been told that minorities can't be racists. They believe that they can only be the victims of racism. It's like when that guy, Sen Byrd from WV....when he said that there were white n*****rs too, he didn't think that was racist. Liberals seem to think that by virtue of the fact that they are liberal that anything that they say and do can't be racist. In spite of the fact that it is their general M.O. most of the time.
