It is very easy to blame OPEC for all the ills of energy supplies but many forget the extortionists policies employed by Gazprom during harsh winters in Europe, who supply around 25% of the NG to Europe an tie the price per BTU to the crud oil prices.

I would not be surprised that the US itself as a matter of policy is also involved in manipulating the crude oil prices. We as observers of the pricings of the end product of the various manipulative exercises in pricing energy have too little information to discern the scheme and get to the truth.

If energy prices would have been all OPEC related trust me OPEC would have ceased to exist many years ago. IMHO OPEC is an easy target for the world economic powers to justify what is going on in the energy markets.
