Larry, I can see that I'm going to have to back-peddle
on the $100/ton extraction costs for conventional miners.
The actual costs would probably be upwards of $50/ton
range for underground and $10 or less for some of the
Nevada heap leach operations. Profitability would depend
on the head grade and recovery rates if one was selling
on todays spot market. Most producers have done enough
forward selling to keep them going for a short time.
