The only eye-witness testimony is that Zimmerman was being badly beaten. I would guess that will make it hard to convict.

Has no one mentioned that Trayvon might still be alive if that eyewitness had gone over to separate the two rather than calling 911 (like the authorities say they want you to do but would probably change their mind if it were they getting a beating).

My experience with fights is that short fat people can't start fights with tall athletic people unless the athletic person wants to fight. I have little doubt that if Martin hadn't felt like fighting, he could have simply run away. It's not often that the alleged criminal is the one who called the police, and according to the only eyewitness testimony, screamed for help.
