Who was standing their ground? Zimmerman stalking and trailing Martin despite orders to desist or Martin who turned and confronted Zimmerman asking "why are you following me?" To me, your viewpoint is less credible when you use incorrect terms like "stalking" to describe Zimmerman's behavior. Zimmerman did not stalk Martin. Zimmerman rightly viewed Martin as suspicious, called 911 and followed Martin. What was his reason for stalking Martin, and with a gun? Once again, you use the obviously incorrect term "stalking" in order to falsely portray Zimmerman's behavior. However, I'll still respond: Zimmerman had volunteered to help to protect his neighborhood from criminals and had every right to "patrol" the neighborhood. Thank god for good neighbors like Zimmerman. Zimmerman got into a fight with a teenager and got punched in the nose and knocked on his ass ... Again, wrong! Martin criminally attacked Zimmerman. Zimmerman rightly defended himself and did the right thing. If he beats this rap, I'll bet you he never wants to play cop again..... It's sad that Zimmerman's efforts to protect the families in his neighborhood, both black and white, might never be properly rewarded. Zimmerman can't be active in neighborhood watch because his life would be in very much danger due to criminal members within the black community, who will be seeking revenge.
