Zimmerman's lawyers waived the SYG hearing which would have ended this last year - because they wanted to prove in court he was not guilty. Doing a pretty damn fine job so far.

Yet another hallmark of an innocent man - not using a technicality or the easy way to achieve freedom.

In this case, it is obvious that Martin started the fight.
An argument could be made that Zimmerman instigated the fight by calling out to Martin, saying some harsh words, and maybe even laying a hand on him.

But that's the job of the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, and I really don't think they can, unless the jury is stacked with 12 Tejeks and Crazy Joe Shephards.
