Sector -- guess I did a poor job of getting my point across -- The AT&T deal is only one example of the ways that Ascend will make it easier for Joe Sixpack to access the internet. First of all he/she will probably buy one of those $999 PCs this christmas, and expect the kids to access the internet. The Sixpack family knows (for sure), that all PCs have Intel inside -- and they probably would call their broker to purchase stock in either the PC company, or Intel. (Sooner or later, the institutional folks will see what's happening and follow suit) How many of these people have any idea what Ascend does to enable them to use that shiny new PC on the internet ?? So why should they call their broker to buy Ascend stock ? With some intelligent advertizing, Ascend could change that. Oh well, just my opinion. MM
