>> What facts have come out that suggest her wedding plan didn't depict a racist slice of Gone with the Wind?

I thought her description of the proposed wedding was extremely complimentary. She referred repeatedly to appearance of professionalism, how well-trained the waitstaff was, and overall how impressive these waiters were. And she noted they would, as a result, have been earning a lot of money.

And yet, she didn't go thru with it. Why?

Your issue, apparently, is that you have stereotyped middle-aged black men as something else. She was simply making a point about how impressive this place was that had experienced, professional waiters instead of college kids acting like heathens. It is difficult to find any "racist" slice of life in there if one is objective.

You mean middle aged white or Asian or Latino waiters aren't as professional as black middle aged waiters? How so?

Why did she want all black waiters, Dave?
