Silk, I have a request. Hope it is not too much to ask? Could you give a description of what happened when they were getting the Titan ready to deploy, the monetization, Macondo, etc.the timeframe and sequence of the events, I remember some of it from reading it after the fact,(wasn't following the co. yet) but some important decisions were made then, also some bad luck with Macondo. I'm sure you could write a very interesting post in and around that time frame if you choose to? ....THX.

The suspects are obvious. Telemark was a dud that never produced to its expectations. The ill-fated Israel adventure diverted much needed liquidity from the balance sheet never to be seen again. Dumb and dumber agreed to 11.875% interest rate when rates were at historical lows. Never mind the ridiculous rates on the ORRI / NPI's. They had no business trying to build Octobuouy until they were sure about the performance from Telemark. They could never do anything on time or within budget. Their corporate costs were ridiculous compared to peers. Volvos.

That should about cover it.
