It sounds like my network provider screwed something up with my e-mail.

Not quite, you see, they assumed that the deluge of e-mail (triggered by your comments about Intel and its investors) must have been the work of a spam-artist, consequently, they turned you off at the pipe. Call them up and explain that those were letters from The Tonight Show, MAD TV, Letterman and SNL fans urging you to perform your material on national television.

RE: "all computers with the same chipset are IDENTICAL."

I agree with the gist of what you are saying though not the letter.
An optimized motherboard from one manufacturer will be substantially
similar in performance to one from another. Some, historically from
certain sources, have been lethargic in performance. One big
disappointment to me in the past was a series by iNTEL which
culminated in the Atlantis. This, apparently value packed MB, had
built-in sound and video cards. The drivers supplied were deficient
and the bios was pedestrian and very limited. I upgraded all and,
though performance increased substantially, it still performed
lethargically when compared to other offerings of that time. The key
was the level of optimization. Some of my customers complained of the
slowness though most were not aware of it.
