"<To my knowledge, no North American kimberlites have been age dated beyond 200Ma and most that have been found up here are approximately 50Ma. If Alberta's have been emplaced in Devonian sendiments and limestones, that would make them much younger still.>"
Vaughn your times have me a little confused. The Devonian Period is in the Paleozoic Era between the Carboniferous and Silurian. The age range for the Devonian is 360 to 410 Ma

Hi Vaughn...... Thanks for the post back and the Craton info, it's all perfectly clear to me know, yuk yuk. One more question for you and then I think I can put a handle on it.......Teeny tiny micro diamonds or all diamonds less than .500mm......are these diamonds that are preserved while in a state of re-absorbtion, on their way to zero or oxidized carbon??? Why are small diamonds small??? I know that certain amber to light brown discolored diamonds are such because of too long at too high of heat...and poor quality. Curious.....Chuck
