Centralizing authority writing in origin myths attempting to unify the scattered tribes under one king behind the hero story characters. The land might not have been fertile but what was made up by the Hebrew imagination certainly was. Rome, Greece, Assyria, Babylon, Mesopotamia, all had these same stories, its simple history 101 and everyone was doing it. Making sacred laws that all sacrifices & pilgrimages will be made holy to just one city & its priests would not guarantee certain attraction of wealth there? Clearly in the Bible the money changers tables are set up right next to the temple gates doing boom business but it was the priests & temple that really took in the coins. They even had their own separate private gated city & express walkways to the temple, along with the gutters from which flowed the animal blood after sacrifice. Selective quoting again? Weak propagandist you'd make a good Muslim apologist too.

It is hard to conceive of a mentality as simple as yours and Greg's. if we listened to either on of you we would be hanging young girls by the neck who had to end their pregnancy or locking them up in prison. That is after all the logical conclusion of your beliefs. I just thank God you and Greg don't have the courage of your convictions. As couch Christians you are all talk and no hat. Blowing smoke out your ass as you jump to judgement on the Internet is as good as it gets for you.
