I live within walking distance of Microsoft. I think I DESERVE faster internet service considering my homestate is the mecca of Airplanes, Windows, Starbucks, Grunge, Hendrix, Griffey, Bruce Lee, Kenny G, etc. I agree 100%. I'll give you all the relevant details. My cable company used to be Viacom until it was bought out by TCI. They said they were rolling out service in west Seattle but it wouldn't be on the "eastside" (where Microsoft is located) until 1999. Do you think it is possibly that MSFT is trying to stop TCI from rolling out too much service? MSFT has their own ISP network and TCI would be competition. I am taking a wild guess. Glenn

If you live near Microsoft then you have a reasonable chance to get ADSL service before cable modems. Seattle is on of the few regions where GTE is trialling ADSL modems.
