It takes light 100,000 years to travel across the Milky way. Therefore, (given the creation of the earth 6000 years ago) it is proved that light originates on the earth and travels outward to the sun and other stars. Very likely from the North Pole or one of those places.

The center of the Milky Way Galaxy is 26,000 light-years away. The nearest large galaxy, Andromeda, is 2.5 million light-years away.

We won't be able to detect Andromeda for another 2 million and 994 thousand years when the light from the North Pole finely hits it a good one. Once we see it we can give it an interesting name such as Andromeda...
