Yep, it always lags. My best guess is that we'll have a muddle through economy for another year, especially if the Fed actually does begin to taper. I bet 2014 won't be so bad, especially in the second half. But over the next year, it's really hard to predict, because we don't know what the Fed will do and China is a bomb waiting to explode, unless they use their reserves to cushion the needed adjustment to the over-extension of their shadow banking industry. Right now, they have been giving their economy tough love by letting liquidity dry up. That's how you get financial contagion. Not smart. I hope China figures it out soon.
