Dave, there are just too many humans on the Earth, and have been for a long time. ANYTHING that reduces this problem is a GOOD thing. Other than China, NO ONE is addressing the problem. Check this pile of buffalo skulls from the mid-1800's:

I have never seen a claim that at 12 weeks it is only a disorganized clump of cells. I suppose you could make the claim that a blastula is unorganized, but by the time it gets to the gastrula stage there is tissue formation and that is definitely organized.

Abortions at greater than the first trimester are virtually impossible to get unless the mother's life is in danger. They account for less than 2% of all abortions. So like the voter ID laws this is yet another one of those laws addressing a problem that doesn't exist. It is almost as if there is some other, unvoiced reason for them...
