I am always budget conscious. The fake science being used is the fetal pain theory. No evidence of that being the case. The argument is not being made on the grounds of viability. An argument can be made on viability, but quality of life should also be a factor. Mental retardation, vision, hearing and lung problems are more likely the younger the fetus is. I am not disregarding the lives of the 2%. The vast majority of those either have serious defects or threaten the life of the mother. I can't find any numbers to attach to that though.
