It was not a fantasy according to the top economists in the world.

Bush did it first and he did not think it was a fantasy.

Obama did not ignore the pubs, he indulged them. They stated they were out to destroy him from day one.

The major depression if we didn't have the stimulus (or whatever other Obama policy your pushing) idea is a fantasy, but at least its a common fantasy (common among the democrats, esp. those the more leftist ones). The "major depression with run away inflation" ideas is a pretty new one. How would that have happened in the US, and how did anything Obama or any other Democrat do, cause it not to happen? "Near civil war" is also pretty much a fantasy, and to the extent that Obama's done anything relevant to it, he's moved us toward it (although only very slightly, probably insignificantly, civil war is nowhere on the horizon).

They sure have not helped him govern in any way.

He's mostly ignored them, or when he had the power to do so, run roughshod over them. Why would they want to help him implement foolish policies that are against what they believe in? His idea of helping him govern is to get behind his ideas so he can force them on everyone.
