Hi Fin, There are a number of affiliated large players.. many related by blood and marriage who take care of their families and interests.... In America and in just about all nations..... one can rise up in one's station though the Lord's blessing...... The Karmic Wheel....blind luck or dumb luck.... or hard work, perserverance and being at the right place at the right time...and having the motivation to seize the day..... Maybe a synergistic combination of all of the above. or One can subscribe to an particular subset of those ideas.... Also some people and families get ahead by consistantly taking advantage of others... that does not seem to work in the long run unless you are really tight with Mephistopholis...... we have believers in that.. and then you overlay the technicals and fundamentals and exogenous events of all types including earthquakes, tsunami;s... Volcano's etc. and so it goes. My perspective on the world is different. Each person has their own reality.... and we jointly intersect and interact in what is called "consensus reality" and the average person's consensus reality is quite different than your average man on the street.
