I have a high school wrestler in my house. And you are right, there is a way to defend against it, If you know what you are doing. So, are you saying that Zimmerman had a wrestling background? Or are you suggesting that he should have flagged down a high school wrestler and got some pointers while he was getting beat on? (as testified by at least one witness)

So let's go with the one punch theory.
Martin punches Zimmerman once in the nose, hard enough to break his knows and knock him backwards so that he hits the back of his head. At this point, Zimmerman has either been knocked out (however briefly) or is seriously dazed. In his daze he discovers that Martin has mounted him and he cannot defend himself with his fists. Is it reasonable for him to have reached for his gun while in a compromised state?

the jury is not stupid.

that remains to be seen.

Zim does not have to prove anything.....and since he was not following....your comment represents your usual clueless take on things...
