Adams, for instance was a Unitarian and they acknowledged only God the Father as Divine and denied the divinity of Christ, you don't think these religious differences in doctrines didnt cause problems in the colonies? There were laws in certain states that none holding such doctrinal views could ever be elected to office, even jailed & some cases killed.

Not many problems. Adams and his son both were elected President. As was Jefferson, another unitarian in fact.

None of the founding fathers were Godless materialists.
