Michael: Thanks and I'm glad to be here. I agree entirely with your post. While their niche isn't the size of the internet browser market (Netscape), or the Compact Disc market (Sony), TSIS never-the-less is in the coveted "first to market" position for automated investor services. They're in the drivers seat and it's their race to win or lose. As long as management understands that the more successfull they are, the more they will attract competition, I think we'll do just fine.

I'm not in a position to speculate on how TSIS might fend off future competitors. However, to a potential competitor, TSIS needs to make itself look like a mother Badger that's backed into its den defending her young. We've all seen those animal shows where a badger defends itself from a much larger Bear or Mountain Lion. TSIS will need to come up with a similar plan for defending its niche. I think they have plenty of time to come up with a good defensive strategy. Hey! they may have already considered these issues and implemented a plan.

Anyway, I'm excited about this little company and look forward to being part of its growth.

Dear Michael:

After lurking about a few weeks I would like to make some observations that have not been brought up.

I will throw out some statistics that may not be entirely accurate. WWW usage is currently 20% of households increasing to 50% in 5 years. On line brokerage accounts are now 5% of investors increasing to 20% in 5 years.

Because the type of information TSIS disseminates over the telephone and 800 numbers, can so easily be disseminated over the internet won't the increasingly popular internet dimminish their market and if so what are their plans to start an on line service to be used along with the 800 service.
