The only reason the Zimmerman case is big news is because whites have the audacity to think that the murderer, an adult white male, should be allowed to kill an innocent black teen. Blacks, especially black teens commit a disproportionate percentage of crimes. Black on black crime is even worse! Where are the black leaders? Why are they so silent about the high rate of drug use and crimes committed by black teens? So..... black community leaders do little to reduce the number of black on black killings, and do little to reduce the level of black poverty and illiteracy. Instead, the black community rises up, in a racist vendetta against a good, caring, brave Hispanic man who killed a black youth in self defense while trying to make the neighborhood better and safer. At least Zimmerman was trying to do something positive for his neighborhood. What about the black leaders of black neighborhoods!?

The only reason the Zimmerman case is big news is because the left have to build a straw man to knock down and declare victory which gives them something to campaign on in the next election.
