Pakistan is by far one of the worst allies the US has ever had.
Pakistan has been an extremely important though problematic ally.

The US has a history of sleeping with dogs and getting up with fleas.

And we have GW and Cheney to thank for that association.
For what association?

Would you rather have nuclear armed Pakistan as an enemy of the US?

No. Its not an either or proposition.
