Actually, many governments require access to low level Windows source code for review, and MS has a higher security hardening classification rating than competitors - Mac OS in particular.

IMO, this talk about NSA backdoors in Android in the open source security fix submissions, spoken with absolutely no knowledge of the specific code, is just pure tinfoil hat stuff.
