Finishing up my MBA at Rice University in Houston......I will graduate in May '98...........My job search has primarily been in NY on Wall Street. Having worked at Merrill Lynch and then for an asset management firm I know that this is something I would tremendously enjoy doing day in and day out...... This summer I worked as a research analyst following telecommunications industry. I was asked to find, research, and present companies that are involved in emerging technologies such as ADSL, CDMA, WDM, etc...... I LOVED IT!!!! The firm made some great returns but could have made a ton of cash had they listened to me the 2nd time around to reinvest in QCOM....They didn't and watched it climb from 46(where I said to invest) to current levels and up of 72 and change......in 3 months!!!!! My other picks, ORCTF & AMTX in the ADSL business have since soared.....ORCTF was at $12 and AMTX at $12 also when I said we should buy them.....The firm wanted more and more info.....I showed them projections, alliances, line codes, strategic info, etc.....still they didn't bite....AMTX announced TI was purchasing them 2 weeks ago for approximately $20 (I can't remember exactly-I was steaming so I didn't read the release fully)...ORCTF has numerous contracts in Europe(their Israeli) and the company is working with Fujitsu in N America...It currently trades for $20 and change.....
