Was no fight. Was a brutal attack. We all have the right to walk the street without having to prove we are not cowards by fighting every street thug we come across. It doesn't make you a coward if you can't whip street thugs, nor does it relinquish your right to self defense.

The attacker preyed on the wrong guy, an armed protector.
