And what was the average price after that, MM? $3.40? A little short of $9, yes?

MM, I doubt if the BLS interviewed wives only as your post seemed to insinuate. You need to get rid of the Republican way of thinking where the men folks feel that there are certain roles only for their womenfolks and for them, the menfolks there are certain roles. Isn't that a very primitive way of thinking?

Was that $9 meant to be $.9, because if you said so then it would make sense to me since I like many other folks (men included) shop for chicken for my family. besides that figure would be close to the (10%) of the BLS.

Has Obama reversed the slide in the economy or not? I would say yes indeed. These Republican assholes in the House are no match for the economic skills and expertise of Bernanke who is recognized in that area world wide. These assholes need to keep quiet and vote for his policies. It is working at the pace that is safe (soft landing) and we are getting there. If you still keep holding onto your sullen views on the direction of the US economy, then I would say that you are unable to overcome your prejudice. And they say that a prejudice is something that was never reasoned in, hence it can be never reasoned out.

"TWO economic records were set. The first record shattered was the U.S. government posted a ‘huge’ budget surplus for June, in fact the largest for that month on record at $117 billion. The second record was the Dow, which rallied above its all-time closing high this morning after Bernake assured investors that the central bank would be keeping stimulus measures in place."
