Good research I never even thought about the number of pages. So my 4P was cheaper to run, but slower. I regret turning my old PC's in. There is a pile of games I use to play on them that I still have the software. I would have loved to have one of my old PC's from the 90's. I see on YouTube people are able to get the games running on their new PC's, but I never could. They ran in DOS and used a SoundBlaster card. I kept all my games from the 80's and 90's. (except the ones that came on 5 1/4 floppies)

>>Technology is supposed to make things more efficient and cheaper, not vice versa.

It's like the almost-free razors tying you into very expensive razor blade cartridges.

But I've had success with non-HP re-manufactured toner cartridges from Amazon. For my HP LaserJet 1022n,
a new cartridge from HP lists at $79.99 on the HP web site; the same cartridge can be had at Amazon for $68, and the non-HP cartridge I bought on Amazon over two years ago was $21. It has printed over 1600 pages for me and is still going strong.

Jeff, I was using a parallel to USB adapter as well for my older lasers. A windows update some time in the last few months has stopped it from working. I know it isn't the printer because they both would work and now they both don't. They sit there like two bricks. Any ideas for a fix? i tried reinstalling the adapter software but nothing works

Thanks mon
