Breccia, if one of your old PCs has a firewire port on it, I'd be interested in it. What I'm looking for in particular is an "obsolete" PC (desktop or laptop) with as modern an O/S as possible (i.e. more recent than Windows 2000 which I have on my lone remaining desktop in storage) that someone would ordinarily just toss out. I need it for essentially a one-time project to stream over my old Hi8 tapes in digital format though the firewire port. I'll then offload these files to my 3T WD MyBook external drive and be done with it. I'd then either return the PC, donate it, or toss it out. Of course I'd pay all shipping costs. If it didn't have a flat screen monitor, I'd swap in the one I have from my old desktop. Obviously just delete all your data files. If you have proprietary software, you can uninstall it if you feel the need to. Thanks! - Jeff
