The FINRA finding was interesting and I remember when the original research report came out. I think someone on the old Yahoo board found the error in a matter of hours. This was also during the peak of the Macondo crisis so the stock was getting killed every time Tony Hayward got on TV and shot himself in the dick.

In the end the JPM report had nothing to do with the eventual death of the company, but it gave all the naked short conspiracy nuts a chance to lament. I don't remember the final tally, but between the preferred share offering, Titan "monetizations" (haha what a joke that was), ORRIs and NPIs I think they came close to the JPM target of $500 mln.

Allman caught hell constantly, but he wound up nailing it. I wonder if he assumed an nickname on the Yahoo boards and told all the Kool-Aid drinkers to get up and suck his crank? He deserved to.
