Paul:

I spent fourteen years as a NASDAQ trader. Your comment about "level 2" is incorrect. It is impossible to really tell the buyers from the sellers. I, for one, would sit on the bid with others to create the appearance of strenght in a stock and then send in another mkt. maker to hit all the bids, thus getting execution and liquidity.

An investor using level 2 is kinda' like a brown-belt in karate: he knows just enough to enter a bar on Fri. night, pick a fight and get his butt kicked.......no offense.

Do you have a model using Monte Carlo method?
Actually, I did some Monte Carlo simulation when I did
my Ph.D. thesis, and I have not translated that method
into stock market.
