My God, are you another one who didn't watch the trial? Zimmerman said he feared for his life because Martin was reaching for his gun. However, the prosecution made it very clear that it was impossible for Martin to reach for Zimmerman's gun because Zimmerman had the gun stuffed in the back of his pants when he claimed that he was on the ground with Martin on top of him, Martin's knees poking into his armpits. When you look closely at Zimmerman's testimony much of what he says is intended solely to keep him from looking guilty of a crime. Now you can say that that is a normal human behavior; however, relying on Zimmerman's testimony is entirely unfair to the memory of Martin who is dead and unable to present his side of the story.

You clearly didn't watch the trial either. The gun was to the side and in front, in his waist band. The prosecution made a big deal that Trayvon wouldn't have been able to see the gun. Of course, he would have felt it up against his legs. And if Trayvon was going to reach for it, he would have had to release some of the pressure and partially get up off of George. If he did that, it would afford an opportunity for George to reach for it as well. Doing a little scenario on the floor with a static mannequin doesn't give any actual feel for what would happen in a kinetic situation like a physical altercation.
