not necessarily, manslaughter instruct said zim had to show intent, which he didn't. they need to tell the jury he faces 10-30 years. i don't think some on the jury want zim to go away for 10-30 years

Yeah, they are trying to figure out which conviction carries the longest jail sentence.

Typically, when an armed man shoots and kills and unarmed person, they are guilty of AT LEAST manslaughter. Had Zim just taken the "terrible beating" (your fantasy), being put on him by Martin, Martin would be going to jail for assault.

I'm an MMA fan, and have seen some TERRIBLE beatings dealt out, but I've yet to see ANYONE die from the blows and submissions from these trained professionals.

The only interesting thing is that manslaughter with a gun doubles whatever sentence is handed out in FL.
