Try to pay attention next time, in a world of hungry Frenchmen, Sal was horsemeat, so I traded her in for a good boat. Trouble is boats require a huge amount of sustaining cash to remain afloat or they become hurricane bait. So somewhere Sal's replacement lays somewhat waterlogged but still afloat in need of a bottom job and a few missing but critical parts like a mainsail halyard or a working dingy. God, I miss that old nag...I think of her every time I lick a stamp or question what's for dinner ? The other day while standing in Plaza de España, I was staring at the spittin image of ol Sal, an old bronze statue supporting some guy from La Mancha but that's a huge nother story in itself.
