The prosecutors are facing sanctions for withholding evidence from the defense in the form of Saint Trayvon's cellphone messages and pictures which showed he had illegal guns, fought all the time, was a pothead, and was an addict of the drug combination Lean.

Cops allowed Trayvon demonstrators to seize control of major street for three hours

Oakland: Police Stood Down As ‘Protesters’ Terrorized Drivers

by Paul Joseph Watson July 15, 2013

One of the questions to emerge out of last night’s unrest in Oakland, where crowds protesting the George Zimmerman verdict turned violent and seized control of a major street for three hours, is why police withdrew from the area and allowed drivers to be terrorized.

According to a report by ABC 7, protesters had “complete control” of 14th and Broadway near Oakland City Hall and refused to let vehicles pass.

At about 8:30 p.m., police opened the intersection to traffic. But it quickly deteriorated when demonstrators surrounded frightened drivers who found themselves trapped. The crowd forced them to turn around.

Oakland police officers that had been near the corner retreated, leaving the helpless drivers without police protection.
It’s unclear who gave that command.

In Los Angeles, demonstrators also blocked major highways and acted provocatively towards drivers.

Occupy Oakland is now calling on demonstrators to repeat the stunt tonight, while subtly encouraging violence by mentioning smashing courthouse windows and telling people to wear all black.

What was described in Oakland last night resembles to a lesser degree the scene below from the 1992 LA riots during which agitators attacked drivers and attempted to pull them out of their vehicles as police stood down.

During the Rodney King riots, police were ordered by their superiors to avoid attempting to quell the disorder so as not to escalate the cycle of violence.

“Critics say the police gave up when the riots erupted, letting big chunks of Los Angeles burn while looters and hoodlums ruled,” reports Blackisonline.

This “stand down” order could hardly have been justified in the context of reducing violence given that 53 people died during the riots and 2,000 were injured.

We hope that scenes such as those witnessed last night in Oakland and Los Angeles remain limited and that police don’t allow them to escalate by standing back and doing nothing, thereby encouraging other criminal elements to hijack the protests as an excuse for disorder and looting.

"The jury found the teen wasn't innocent."

They found no such thing. All they found is that they couldn't determine whether Zimmerman was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. They made no judgement whatsoever about Martin, who wasn't around to tell his side of the story.

I'm sure every white racist concealed-carry pistol packer in FL is looking for their black teen now that it's open season.

>> Zimmerman destroyed his own reputation when he killed an innocent black teen.

The "innocent teen" thing is wearing thin. The jury found the teen wasn't innocent.

Nope. Racists like you concluded he wasn't innocent. Instead, what the jury verdict says is the prosecution did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman had malicious intent when he murdered T. Martin.

Unlike you, there are two reasons why I was not obsessed with this trial. First, due to the American legal system and aspects of that legal system peculiar to FL, it was clear from the onset that the prosecution did not have enough evidence to support the argument that the jackass had malicious intent when he killed Martin. Secondly, this trial will in no way bring the teen back to life. The sin has been committed and can not be retracted.

Knowing that Zimmerman will suffer the same fate as Casey Anthony and OJ is what allows me to feel there will be some retribution for this heinous murder.

Idiots bought the lie -- and the prosecutors were wrong for it -- of trying to create the illusion that this kid was an "innocent teen", or even the ridiculous claims he was a "child". I think they insulted the intelligence of the jury when they did that.

He was a teen who committed no crime the night he was murdered. All your whining and complaining will not change that fact. Sorry.

But some people's intelligence is so minimal it is incapable of being insulted. If you know who I mean.

Yes, its very hard to insult you.
