Hey Keiko,

Thanks for the warning on the "Chop Stocks". I myself have watched
many friends and relatives fall victim to scams like that. Don't
worry about me...I am paranoid to the point of not even trusting my
on line broker, and its a computer! I even get an occasional cold-
call from some scamster. I always have fun turning the tables on
them. I think the most interesting point about the recent scam on
the NASDAQ listed GYMM, was that usually these scams are usually
carried out with OTC stocks that can be easily manipulated. GYMM
was manipulated using everyone from the Gambino Crime Family in
New York to the company president himself. Even stranger is that
it was a fairly successful company to begin with...why scam when you
can make money the old fashioned way?

My biggest problem with stock scams are that some of them are quite
legal. I ranted and raved quite a bit here recently about how the
biotech industry is rife with these IPO's which go public with zero
earnings, and make all these foward looking statements about cures
for this disease or that, all the while indicating the potential
windfall profits to be made. If anyone doubts my assertion that
most of these biotech IPO's are losers, just check out the list
of companies listed as 52 week lows, or penny stocks, or 4 week losers
and the such. You will see that most of them are biotechs that have
been around for a few years. Its funny how these biotechs with zero
earnings manage to pay their officers salaries of $200,000 a year.
