Thanks Richard- I will built channels accordingly. What is benefit of shorter deviation on lower channel??

I agree that channels are an excellent tool. You paragraph about a plan makes sense- when I follow a plan- It often works out. When I buy helter skelter- I lose.

Richard and Andy,

First off guys I want to let you know I started in early Nov. on some of the basic concepts covered in the beginning of this thread (about the first 500 messages), using the concepts on BigCharts for graphing and IQ for the stock scans (Richard MS 6.5 is on my Xmas list so we'll have to wait and see if Santa visits this yr<g>). The indicators I used was 5,20 EMA's, incr. volume, upward and pos. MACD, and upward momentum. On the stocks I choose to 'paper' trade, on investing $500 worth of stock of each one (4 stocks total), I've up $220 so far and the technicals on 2 are still looking fantastic!

I'm Very Impressed w. the results thus far and just wanted to say "Thanks" for the help and info personally, and from the thread! I hope too continue to learn more here! I can only imagine what will happen after I get a good TA software program!

Thanks again and Happy Holidays!

Chris Glanton
